Barley Rolled
Rolled Barley, similar to wheat as it is rich in protein, vitamins and minerals and can be added into soups, stews and also as an ingredient for stuffing or sweet dishes and desserts. Pearled Barley has been processed to remove its hull and bran, as Barley itself must have its fibrous outer hull removed before it can be eaten; Pearl Barley is taken a step further and polished to remove the nutritious bran layer. This process is the most common form of Barley for human consumption, probably because it cooks faster and is less chewy than other, less-processed forms of Barley.
