Saffron Pure Strands (1g)

1 in stock

Saffron is a beautiful spice that is considered to be a delicacy in many cultures. It is derived from the Crocus flower which only produces 3 stigmas or saffron strands per flower which are picked by hand, making it an incredibly difficult spice to harvest, yet due to its gorgeous flavour and beautiful red-orange colouring makes it all worth it! Saffron is particularly used in Indian, Middle Eastern and Spanish cuisines and is used to flavour delicious rice and cous cous dishes including flavoursome curries, paellas and salads, which also offsets a rich yellow coloring, making each dish taste and look great! Saffron strands also add delicious flavours to a number of baked goods such as, breads and cakes and also taste great when incorporated into a wonderful dressing, marinade or sauce.
